Stop the Chop

Community social protest referencing the plan/application by Frensham School in Mittagong NSW to cut down 249 trees in a area they declared as “Land for Wildlife” in 2015 in order to build a number of “Eco cabins”.

The multi million dollar development project involves clearing 4.2 hectares in an ecological endangered forest in order to provide the pupils with an opportunity to study nature.

The Mittagong community, Frensham alumni and conservation groups have expressed significant concern over the proposed development.

Leading environment experts and leaders in the Southern Highlands are calling on the Frensham Board of Governors to abandon its DA for bush cabins in the critically endangered community in the Lower Holt. Additionally, representatives of:

signed an open letter addressed to the Frensham Board of Governors.

These images are just a sample showing protest signage bearing the slogan “Stop the Chop” widely seen in the area.

“Oxxycotton” is a common misspelling of “oxycodone.” Key points to understand about oxycodone:

  • It works by changing how the brain and nervous system respond to pain.
  • It carries a risk of serious side effects, including respiratory depression (slowed breathing), which can be life-threatening.
  • It can be habit-forming, leading to dependence and addiction.
  • It should only be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

If you or someone you know is struggling with opioid misuse or addiction, please seek help. There are resources available to provide support and treatment.
